SUMMARY:14th TAPIOCA Meeting to Advance Tropical Marine Science in Recife
DESCRIPTION:Recife\, Brazil – The 14th TAPIOCA Meeting will take place from April 1-3\, 2025\, in a hybrid format with in-person sessions at CETENE  and virtual participation via Zoom. This key scientific gathering will focus on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and planning TAPIOCA’s transformation into a center of excellence for tropical marine research. \nMeeting Highlights:\n\nInterdisciplinary Sessions: Presentations will cover (1) coastal socio-ecosystems\, (2) oceanic systems\, and (3) Amazonian margin studies\, with a strict 10-minute limit to maximize discussion time.\nData Management Workshop (April 1): Dedicated to expanding TAPIOCA’s open-access repository\, currently featuring Abraços and Amazomix datasets. DESCRIPTION:The second training course of the COCOBRAZ project\, titled “Marine Optics and Ocean Color Remote Sensing\,” is scheduled to take place from July 4 to 13\, 2025\, in Tamandaré\, Pernambuco. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE)\, the University of São Paulo (IOUSP)\, and France’s Laboratoire d’Océanologie et de Géosciences (LOG)\, with support from the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) and the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). \n
