Abstract

This dataset is the result of the calculation of the anomalies of the oceanic surface forcings and of the physical, chemical and biological variables on the oceanic surface and subsurface, which facilitates the researchers to carry out studies related to climate change and other physical, chemical and biological processes. Several existing sources were used as model output data and data observed in situ and satellites, as well as dataset with combined data sources. Several variables are redundant, which makes it possible to do comparative studies.

Among the sources used we have:

ASCAT, CO2 Flux, DASK, GODAS, GPCP, MODIS-Aqua, NOAA 20th Century Reanalysis, OAFLUX,  OSCAR, SeaWiFS, SMOS, SODA, TROPFLUX, WAVEWATCH3 model and the Copernicus Marine Service datasets GLOBAL_REANALYSIS_BIO-001-029, GLOBAL_REANALYSIS_BIO-001-033 and OCEANCOLOUR_GLO_ OPTICS_L4_REP_

OBSERVATIONS_009_081

From the OAFLUX dataset, only precipitation minus evaporation was taken, the rest of the parameters are included in TROPFLUX. The SST anomaly of this dataset, calculated from TROPFLUX, was used iin the technical report:

Report on tropical marine ecosystem dynamics in the last decade.
